No Fish: Musky Song

An avid Musky fisherman, Brant Buckley wrote the cult classic fishing song, No Fish: Musky Song. Brant has caught muskies in Minnesota and Canada. As a writer for American Blues Scene, he interviewed Pro Musky Fisherman Joe Bucher. Bucher, known as the Musky Guru is also a Blues guitar player who created and hosts The Northwoods Blues Festival every July in northern Wisconsin. He also produces and writes all of the music for his T.V. show, Fishing with Joe Bucher.

Joe says, “I have actually written a lot of Blues based music and mood-based music for my T.V. show. All the music from my T.V. series is mine. When I film an episode, I see and feel mood style Blues. There are times when high energy Rock stuff is the way to go. When you slip into a quiet bay with wildlife there’s a Blues Fusion sound to it. It is like a slow Blues and I can write that all day. “

In addition, Brant interviewed Musky Fisherman and longtime drummer Mike Keyes from Keyes Outdoors LLC. Keyes produces his own show and creates all the music for it. Mike says, ““I pick certain moods in a video that I want to portray. I want the quietness and the subtleness of nature and at times may want an uplifting song to show a successful musky catch.”

Keyes Outdoors LLC is all about adventure off the beaten path and into the unknown. Mike’s raw musky fishing adventures are unique in that his show tells a story, connects the viewer with nature, and travels to unique musky fishing spots where most do not go: the unknown. Whether from land, small wild rivers, or the great lakes, Mike is on the hunt.
